Le' Count circa 1971
Was I nervous?
Was I scared?
Or was I looking forward to it?
1971, and the legend was etched in copper. * Mind, we did copper tooling the year before.*
I was selected to perform in the Operetta. The shy but strong-minded kampung-lad who only knew that 'count' was what you do, going through the numerals, 1,2,3... and skipped a few when the teacher's attention waned, 100, 101.. It didn't occur to me then, that I was to be made a distant cousin of the blood-thirsty, fanged not-so-bad-looking (when he was not smiling) Count Drac grrr..
And the dashing, young, red-cheeked *blush, blush* Count Byron was born.
Yooooo... jambu hang!
Ghoper macam Omputeh
Aduhh misei hang.. Meh aku nak pegang!
He he..
*cut, snip, take 3*
What was my line? My only line.. *laugh*
It eludes me
But the whole song.. about Princess Amagida being brought up by the Gypsy Queen, under the auspices of Shandor, the Mighty.. I do remember, your honour
Every single verse!
Such is selective memory
egg me, and I'll sing
..ahhh that reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel..
that ask me and i'll sing bit.. sighh
yours truly

ok sing, count sing. Sing Simon and Garfunkel! Aaah, I remember sitting on the steps with David Arumugam of alleycats - singing Hingga AKhir nanti - just the last line, mind you. I was so looking forward to say , "Ma kaseeeehhhhhhhhh!! And he handed the mike to me and I did it! My claim to fame.
Salam Count
Often when I get the microphone pushed to my face, I pushed it back. Don't have the voice, can't sing.
I claim being allergic to microphones.
Takut pulak bila nak mula menyanyi, tak nak lepaskan microphone tu like some people I know!
Kat Teh you are egging the Count mind you.. a.k.a. Dracul grr... a.k.a. Phantom of the Opera *smile*
Sing, Christine, Sing. Sing my Angel of Music!
Will you Kak Teh? Will you? pleaseee.... he he
Ma kaseehhhhhh yourself to stardom I see *grin* Well done!
Sad Loga..
Fame? That's another one of my passion, Fame the Musical.
Thanks KT
Fauziahhhh!! You are allergic to microphones?
Ahh.. don't you worry. I'll bring along Zyrtec, the anti-histamine :)
Itulah, allergic to the mic,but when you are at it, one song after another you'll belt.
So which is(are) your favourite(s)?
Salam Count.
Saya suka cerita Count. Count udah ke Bali? Kalo kemari bagitau ya
Salam Masjuanda. Cantik namamu.
Bali sgt cantik; budaya dan orangnya. Thanks for visiting this site.
Saya pasti beritahu kalau ke Bali lagi.
Thanks Mas

Hehehe Simah..
That singing was longggggggggg time back.. now the expiry date was long due. My children took over now.. siap main gitar lagi (but they wont be there)
14th inshaAllah..
Cant wait
Count..
apa pulak expired..?boleh renew lagi..
i bought a mic..tapi pastu rosak..or is it a sign that i should not sing at all...??hahah
Sue. Your mic went kaput? sok we can replace you with a new one
Why stop singing Sue? You'll need that skill to have great family get together.. you and your children. Countess sings, dance and prance for her children. Come to think of it, that was the ingredient that make them who they are.. effervescent and confident.
You'll need the same to entertain your cucus in later years.. perhaps more vigorously :)
Thanks Sue
ely was here to visit. i hope that u and ur loved ones are doing fine.
update, my son and my family are moving towards healing, or maybe over the healing process.
my son has realized that his family is here no matter what and will love him and his ibu is just a phone call away.
and i mean what i say...all the time. he calls every weekend, sometimes calls when hes sick from school. he emails me with details on what hes been doing, he even speaks to the husband and talks for a long long time with him.
could be puberty 2 yrs ago...but allah managed to bring him back to me Alhamdulillah.
betul CB ckp, i will never ever lose him. thank u again CB...thank you.
I love Phantom of the Opera! Your sonorous voice does justice to the Count :)
Gimme a musical anytime of the day!
Ely my dear, I am ever so happy with this development. A mother's love knows no bounds and you triumphed for sure. I am happy for Matt too, that the identity crisis is finally over, and he will be very sure-footed when he joins you and the family soon.
I am very happy for both your mom and dad too for clearing the air so everyone can enjoy each other to the fullest, and that's what family is all about.
Hey dont forget the Biryani Gam when you do finally come to JB, again.
Love to the whole family.
CB and his growing family.
Theta, Let's!
Your mas'cat' seems to be doing what you love best.. dancing to the musicals. And Count did the ONE, TWO, POM, POM.. 1,2,pom,pom.. hehe the waltz..
Come to think about that, I did it very well indeed.
Have you heard of Count caught gaping when he caught a Musical in Hamburg?? Katz.. and that is Cats!! in German, sonorous and all. The only respite I got was when they sung "Memories", which was in English, to the bone.
